This will depend on the type of carpet fibre, length and density of pile, and amount of soiling. As a guide, depending on weather and humidity, it can take between 2 – 6 hours to dry. We will provide a more accurate timeframe in person. We use fans in each room/item of furniture post clean; this improves the drying time greatly. However it is recommended that all rooms are well ventilated and heating is left on to aid the drying process.
We are more than happy to move any items of furniture as long as it is safe for 1 operative to manoeuvre. The operatives will not move any valuable, personal or breakable items so please ensure these are stowed away prior to the appointment so we can move the furniture. Any larger items we will put on furniture sliders to help move them and we will add protective coverings underneath the legs post-clean to prevent dye transfer whilst the carpets are drying.
Many carpet manufacturers recommend professional cleaning once a year to maintain the warranty on your carpet. However you may need your carpets or upholstery cleaned more regularly depending on your living situation, family size, children, pets, smokers etc.
We suggest waiting for the carpets to completely dry, however we understand life does carry on and you may need to access certain rooms after we leave! We recommend wearing clean indoor shoes or slippers with non-rubber soles. We can provide plastic shoe covers, please just ask your operative on the day. Additionally, it is also recommended to prevent pets from walking on the carpet and avoid any heavy foot traffic during the drying process.
We kindly ask that you remove any small items, such as toys, books, leads or shoes, from the areas that will be cleaned. This allows the cleaning technicians to work without obstructions and ensures that nothing gets damaged or misplaced during the cleaning process. Please also move any fragile or valuable items like glassware, decorative objects, and picture frames from tables or shelves near the areas being cleaned. This prevents accidental damage when moving furniture or equipment. If you have pets or young children, it’s a good idea to keep them in a safe, quiet area away from the cleaning zones during the process. The machine is loud and may startle pets or children.
We recommend regular vacuuming to prevent loose soiling penetrating into the carpet fibres, using doormats in high traffic areas, and quickly treating spills using our Prima Stain Remover will help keep your carpet looking fresh between cleans.
